
Harita Meenee was born in Athens, Greece, where she lives and works as a writer, editor, and translator. She studied Classical Literature and Languages before pursuing graduate studies in Counseling. She is the author of several books on historical, literary, and spiritual topics, as well as numerous articles and essays. She also worked for many years as a writer and editor of books for English language learners. Harita has delivered lectures both in Greece and abroad and has appeared on several television and radio programs.
Art has always been one of her great passions. At various times, she has been involved in theater, dance, and visual arts. Her vision of a better world has led her to activism. She participates in movements for women’s and LGBTQ+ rights, as well as anti-racist and anti-fascist initiatives. She also has a profound interest in meditation, psychology, and philosophical contemplation.
Harita’s poetry draws inspiration from myths and archetypes, the power of love, and social struggles. Her poems have been published in a variety of literary magazines and websites. One of her pieces, “Africa,” has been set to music and is available on YouTube. Her anti-war poem “For the Fatherland” received an award from the Koukidaki blog. Her first poetry collection, Partner in Dream, is forthcoming in Greek in September 2026.
