South Western Region Program Coordinator: Dr. Jeong Hee Kim
She graduated from the Department of Sociology, Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea. She obtained B.A. (Aug 1982), M.A (Aug 1986) and Ph. D (Aug 1998) degrees from the department of Women’s Studies, Graduate School at the same University. She served as the vice-director for the Cooperative Childcare Research Institute(1998-1999), currently she had been a research professor of Korean Women’s Institute(2003-2009), Ewha Womans University since January 2003 after working as a post-doc researcher at the same institute(2000-2002).
Her major publications include Buddhism, Women and Sallim(2011), The Fair Trade and Hope in Asia(2009), The Present and Prospect of the Bio-feminist Politics (2005), Globalization and Women’s Civil Rights in Korea, Seoul: Ewha Womans University Press (2002, Co-Author), Mother at the Same Height of Her Child’s Eyes, Child Growing to Be One’s Dream (2000).
