Acheulian Ancient Mother

The Acheulian Ancient Mother is named for the geologic layer in which she was found, estimated to be between 233,000 and 800,000 years old. The Acheulian crone is both the earliest manifestation of a work of art and the oldest female figure found anywhere in the world. She was carved with flint out of scoria, a red volcanic stone. She fits in your hand. The Ancient Mother was discovered in 1981 on the Syrian Israeli border in the Golan Heights. The area needs Her healing energies today.
