Maybe if I do it right,
unlimited and loose
Keep my arms outstretched
in this oddly festive life
A piano piece in my fingers slipping a note
A gallery where the sun plays a brilliant touch of light.
A tapestry unfolding, in and out of trees
Morphing to a silent doe in a downpour of rain
Long ago I urged my bones to bend with empathy
I saw an ocean everywhere
in the blue hills of fog
I gazed across mountains, a dragon’s tail long.
So much in the wetness, grateful toward birth
Warm cocoons opening in breathlessness.
